Cash Management

The POS cash management feature helps you track how much cash should be in your cash register at any given time. It keeps an accurate running balance throughout the day and ensures smooth opening and closing procedures.

1. Open the Cash Register (Start of Day)

At the beginning of your shift or business day:

  1. Navigate to the Cash Management tab in your or select Record cash in POS tab.

  2. Select Open cash drawer.

  3. Enter the amount of cash you currently have in the register (your starting balance).

  4. Confirm to start tracking cash for the day.

Note: You need to open the cash register before you can start taking payments.

2. Automatic Cash Tracking During Sales

  • Whenever a customer pays with cash, the POS will automatically update the cash balance.

  • This ensures the system always reflects the expected amount in the register.

3. Manual Adjustments (Adding or Removing Cash)

If you take cash out of the register or add extra cash during the day:

  1. Go to the Cash Management section.

  2. Select Put cash in or Take cash out, depending on your action.

  3. Enter the amount you are adding or removing.

  4. Select reason for the action.

  5. Confirm the adjustment.
    The POS will update the total accordingly.

4. Close the Cash Register (End of Day)

At the end of the day:

  1. Go to Cash Management.

  2. Select Close cash drawer.

  3. Count the physical cash in your register.

  4. Input the counted amount into the POS.

    The system will compare the expected and actual cash amounts and notify you of any differences.

  5. Select Close drawer.

  1. Navigate to settings.

  2. Select Display.

  3. Select Custom tabs.
