Managing Ingredients and Inventory

This guide explains how to add ingredients to your inventory and link them to menu items in the Munchi dashboard. You’ll learn how to create ingredients with proper units, quantities, and low-stock thresholds, then assign those ingredients to products through recipes. Once ingredients are connected to menu items, Munchi automatically deducts the correct quantities from inventory whenever a product is sold, helping you track stock levels accurately and avoid running out of essential items.

Adding ingredients to the inventory

  1. In Munchi dashboard, navigate to Inventory tab.

  2. Click + Add ingredient.

  3. Give name, unit, quantity and low stock treshold.

  4. Click Save.

Add ingredients for menu items

  1. In Munchi dashboard, navigate to Products tab.

  2. Select the item to which you want to add ingredients.

  3. Click Recipe.

  4. Click + Add ingredient.

  5. Select ingredient from the ingredients list.

  6. Select the quantity/amount required for the product.

When a product containing the ingredient is sold, its quantity is automatically deducted from the inventory.
