How to create a product option or add an existing option to a product

Step 1: Access Product Management

1. In the sidebar, click on the “Products” section where categories are managed.

Step 2: Edit products

1. Click on edit product.

2. Click on the product that you want to add an option to.

Step 3: Navigate to product options

1. Once you've clicked edit on a product, slide the different tabs until you find product options.

2. Click on product options.

Step 4: Now you can add an existing option to the product. If you want to create new one, go to Step 5.

1. For adding an existing option, simple click on the check mark on the option, and that option is now activated to this product.

This is the last step for adding an existing option to a product. If you wish to create a new option, continue to Step 5.

Step 5: Add a product option

1. To create a new option, click on add product option.

2. Name it. This name is not visible to customers, so you can use this name to help you differentiate different options, for example "extra toppings pizza", "extra toppings burgers" and so on.

Now the option is created, but it's not ready or activated on the product. Next you need to define the option.

Step 6: Define your option.

1. Click on the option. Now you can edit the option. "Name visible to you" is what you named the option in the previous step.

"Name visible to customers" is what customers will see on the ordering platform. For this, you can use titles like "choose one side" or "add extras".

2. Click on the name visible to customers. Now you can edit the option.

3. Suboptions are the different options to choose within your product option, for example "extra cheese" or "spicy". You can add them by clicking "add suboption", then typing the suboption name and clicking + icon. You can add as many as you want.

4. Once you've added your options, you can now modify them. All changes to product options are saved automatically.

Step 7: Remember to check that your product option is selected to the product that you want to add it to. Make sure that the checkmark on the option is clicked and shows the check. Empty square means option is not selected for this product.
